Dear Small Group Leaders of Christ Church,

     Attached is the discussion guide for your group on this week’s message- Do You Still Not Understand?

Leader Tips:

1. Thank you all who participated in the Trunk or Treat.  It was one of the best outreach events to the community that we have had, over 1,000 people joined us on Saturday!  We had over 20 very creatively themed trunks giving out treats and making lots of young families in our neighborhood happy!  You all responded in a great way, thank you!
2. You may wish to share with your group that Christ Church will be hosting the Interfaith Thanksgiving service again on Monday, Nov 25 and plan to attend as a group.
3. The Fall semester for sermon-based small groups will end the week of Sunday Nov 24^th and resume with the beginning of the Winter semester on the week of Sunday January 12^th.  Of course, you are welcome to get together in between semesters as a small group, perhaps for some fellowship meals if you like, but the sermon based discussion guides will not be available during those weeks in between semesters. 

Thank you all for your continued ministry in learning about Jesus Christ and what it means to be a disciple!  Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help your group or you as a group leader.

2. Throughout this fall season, the Upward Basketball program will be need of volunteers as well- coaches, assistant coaches, referees, and concessions/hospitality folks.  See Brandon Sisley if you would like to volunteer or just get additional information- brandon.sisley@gmail.com.

Leader Tips:

1. The results from the Building For the Future campaign last Sunday amounted to $300,000 in pledges above regular giving for the special projects (www.christchurchsl.org/building).  New Video Panels are already installed in the sanctuary and the renovations are underway in the Gym!  Thanks to everyone who submitted a pledge card!
2. Trunk or Treat is Saturday October 26^th 10am-1pm and will be a great community outreach event for the church.  Volunteers can sign up at https://www.christchurchsl.org/event/trunk-or-treat/
3. The last message in this new series I Have Questions will be a pastor’s response to whatever questions people have in the congregation.  You all may wish to think through what questions you would like to ask!

1. The Trunk or Treat event at Christ Church is Saturday Oct 26^th 10am to 1pm.  Would your group consider sponsoring a decorated car trunk and passing out treats to children?  Could be a fun time of fellowship and a chance to wear fun costumes,  think cute and not too scary….
